SANHUA Automotive Named as a 2017 PACE Award Finalist
2016/10/24
SANHUA Automotive, a leading global provider of thermal solutions, has been named as a 2017 Automotive News PACE Award finalist for product innovation. The Premier Automotive Suppliers' Contribution to Excellence Award is often referred to as the "Academy Award for Innovation" in the automotive industry.
SANHUA Automotive has developed a new innovative electronically controlled air conditioning valve. The new Electronic eXpansion Valve (EXV) allows for quicker response to changes in vehicle operating conditions and increased flexibility in a/c refrigerant control. The SANHUA Automotive EXV enables a number of system control strategies which ultimately lead to improved overall a/c system efficiency and better system performance.
The new EXV is available for R134a and the new more environmentally friendly R1234yf and R744 refrigerant systems. The EXV is capable of controlling flow from zero "totally shut-off" to maximum flows in multiple valve sizes.
Laboratory bench testing according to the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) a/c testing standards has proven that a SANHUA Automotive EXV can improve the refrigerant system efficiency of a typical passenger vehicle by more than 10%. The SANHUA Automotive EXV's superior, responsive and stable refrigerant control reduces a/c compressor load which results in improved fuel economy, compressor reliability and refrigerant system noise reduction.
The EXV also can be combined with an electric vehicle battery chiller to more finely control the battery temperature and balance the refrigeration efficiency between the chiller and passenger evaporators, thereby increasing electric vehicle mileage range.
SANHUA Automotive products offer a great contribution in environmental protection. As experts in thermal management, SANHUA Automotive continues to develop products that offer enhanced fuel economy savings for conventional vehicles and opportunities for increased mileage range in electric vehicles. All of their products are designed to be compatible with all of the more environmental friendly new global refrigerants, such as R1234yf and R744.
For over 20 years, the Automotive News PACE Awards have honored superior innovation, technological advancement and business performance among automotive suppliers. This prestigious award is recognized around the world as the industry benchmark for innovation.
